When I started my photography journey, I never imagined that two-year old’s would be one of my favorites to photograph 🙂 I think the reason is that no matter what mood they are in, their emotion is pure, and I love capturing every bit of it!

I have been photographing Miss Riley Mae since she was a newborn, and I was not very far into my photography journey. I still had A LOT to learn 🙂 So I decided to share a few photos of every session I have done of Riley, because not only does it show how she has grown over the past two years, but also how I have grown as a photographer. They say it takes 10,000 hours to master something, and I believe it. I always learn something new or think about how I could have done something differently after every single session. Life is all about growth, people 🙂

We did Riley’s two-year session at Joe and Mary’s house on Riley’s playground set. It was so fun! The weather was absolutely perfect – and let’s face it, we lucked out with that considering all the rain we got last month. I have truly enjoyed getting to know the Janssen family over the past two years, and I look forward to continue watching Riley grow!
