I’ve known T.J. (and his twin sister Dana) since I was one year old. They were my first ever cousins and first ever friends (with the exception of my older brother :)), so I was incredibly excited and honored when T.J. asked me to photograph his wedding.
When T.J. showed up to the house to get ready for the ceremony, he told me that he had been tearing up all day. How sweet is that?! T.J. was also insistent on not seeing Katie in her dress until she walked down the aisle, even though they were getting ready in the same house 🙂
T.J. and Katie had an intimate outdoor wedding in Morris, surrounded by their closest friends and family. Katie’s aunt even performed the ceremony! Emotions were running high even before Katie walked down aisle, because T.J. and Katie’s adorable daughter, Kayden, was the flower girl, and she looked cute as can be! It was a proud and emotional moment for T.J. to watch his daughter walked down the aisle to give him a big hug.
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a fun evening filled with laughter and dancing. T.J. and Katie even surprised everyone with a “choreographed” first dance…they said they came up with the idea last minute, but everyone absolutely loved it! Thank you, T.J. and Katie, for letting me be such a big part of your special day – and Katie – welcome to family! 🙂
